Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3/2/2026
At SimpleData, we are privacy absolutists. We built our analytics platform to be privacy-friendly, fully compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and PECR. Our mission is to provide valuable insights without compromising individual privacy.
1. What We Collect (and What We Don't)
Unlike most analytics tools, SimpleData does not track people across the internet and does not use cookies. We minimize data collection to the absolute essentials:
- IP Address: We use the IP only momentarily to determine the visitor's country. The IP is discarded and never stored in our database.
- User-Agent: Used to identify the device type and browser, then discarded.
- Referrer: To know where the visitor came from.
- URL Visited: The specific page being viewed.
We do not generate persistent device fingerprints. This means a visitor returning the next day counts as a new unique visitor for that day.
2. Data Retention & Ownership
You own your data. We act solely as data processors. We never sell, rent, or share your visitors' data with third parties, advertisers, or data mining companies.
You can export or delete your data at any time. If you choose to cancel your account, all your data will be permanently deleted from our servers.
3. Service Providers (Subprocessors)
To provide our service, we partner with infrastructure providers that meet the highest security and privacy standards:
- Supabase (EU/US): Database hosting and authentication. Encrypted at rest and in transit.
- Stripe (US): Secure payment processing (PCI-DSS Level 1 Compliant). We do not store credit card information on our servers.
4. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Since we do not store Personal Identifiable Information (PII) from your website visitors, we cannot retrieve, rectify, or delete data associated with a specific person, as no records linked to individual identities exist.
As a SimpleData customer, you have the right to access, rectify, or delete your personal information (email, billing and account data) at any time directly from your dashboard.
5. Cookie Usage
We do not use cookies for visitor tracking. This means you do not need to display annoying cookie consent banners on your website because of us.
We only use strictly necessary technical cookies to keep you logged in when you access the SimpleData dashboard.
6. Security
We take security seriously. All traffic is encrypted via SSL/TLS. Our databases are encrypted at rest. We perform automated backups and keep our systems updated with the latest security patches.
