Email alerts
An email, or a webhook to Slack, Discord or your server, when traffic drops or spikes, 404s jump, a goal stops converting or a new AI agent visits. Fixed rules with published thresholds, on the Pro plan.
Traffic drop on example.com: −62% in the last 6 hours
On November 3, from 04:00 to 10:00 (Europe/Madrid), example.com had 312 page views. At the same hours on the same weekday over the previous 4 weeks it had a median of 820: 62% fewer.
Medium sensitivity: it alerts on a drop of at least 50% in hours that usually have 100 page views or more.

On Pro, SimpleData looks at each of your sites every hour and emails you when something changes suddenly: traffic that drops or spikes, more visits to missing pages, a goal that stops converting, or an AI agent visiting for the first time.
What "usual" means
The last 6 complete hours (24 for goals), in your site's time zone, are compared with the same hours on the same weekday of the previous 4 weeks. SimpleData takes the median, so a holiday or one week's viral post does not decide what is usual, and it needs at least 2 of those weeks with visits. A site added less than two weeks ago gets no alerts yet.
The alerts, at the default sensitivity
- Traffic drop: 50% fewer page views than usual, in hours that usually have 100 or more.
- Traffic spike: 3 times the usual page views, and at least 100 more.
- More missing pages (404): at least 25, 4 times the usual and more than the traffic explains.
- Goal with no conversions: a goal that usually converts 5 times or more in a day had none in the last 24 hours.
- New AI agent: the first time an AI company's assistant, or the crawler it answers from, reaches your site.
Low and high sensitivity move every threshold; the documentation lists all of them.
How many emails
- At most one email per site and hour, with every alert of that site in it.
- A drop, a spike or more 404s that last: the same alert at most every 72 hours.
- A goal with no conversions: one email, and another only after it has converted and stopped again, 48 hours apart at least.
- A new AI agent: once per agent.
Rules, not AI
Fixed rules with written thresholds: no AI model decides or writes anything. The email has the figures, the comparison and the hours they are about, with a button to the dashboard on exactly those hours. It never carries page addresses or anything else a visitor could have written.
Also in Slack, Discord or your own system
Each site can send the same alerts to a webhook as well: an incoming webhook of Slack or Discord gets a message in its own format, and any other address a signed JSON with the figures, ready for Zapier, Make or your own server. Same alerts, same moment, nothing a visitor wrote; the format and how to check the signature are in the documentation.
When nothing is sent
An account that has reached its plan's page views for the month gets no traffic, 404 or goal alerts until the month ends: its sites are not being recorded, and every one would look like a drop. If many sites drop at the same time, the problem is ours, not yours: those alerts pause and our team is told instead.
Your settings
Each site turns every alert on or off and chooses one sensitivity: low, medium or high. A new site starts with all of them on, at medium. To stop every alert email of your account at once, use Settings → Emails.
Available on
Pro, at $9/month. If an account goes back to Free, its alerts stop and its settings are kept for when Pro is back.
