Stop Guessing, Start Measuring

Pageviews tell you how many people visited. Goals tell you how many people did something that matters. SimpleData's goals system lets you track specific actions — signups, purchases, PDF downloads, form submissions — and attribute them to the traffic source that drove them.

How Goals Work

Define a goal based on a page visit (e.g., reaching /thank-you) or a custom event triggered via our JavaScript API. Once set, SimpleData automatically tracks conversions and calculates conversion rates for every traffic source, campaign, and page.

  • Pageview Goals: Track when users reach a specific URL — perfect for thank-you pages, confirmation screens, or pricing page visits.
  • Event Goals: Track custom interactions using simpledata.track('signup') — ideal for button clicks, form submissions, video plays, or any user action.
  • Conversion Rate: See not just how many people converted, but the percentage relative to total visitors. Compare conversion rates across campaigns to find your best performers.

Attribution That Makes Sense

For every goal, see which referral source, UTM campaign, country, or device drove the most conversions. No complex multi-touch attribution models — just clear, first-touch attribution that tells you where your customers came from.

Ecommerce Revenue Tracking

If you run an online store, goals integrate with our ecommerce module. Track revenue per product, average order value, and attribute sales to specific campaigns. Works with Shopify, WooCommerce, and any custom checkout via our JS API.

Funnel Visualization

Define multi-step funnels to see where users drop off in a sequence. For example: Landing Page → Product Page → Cart → Checkout → Purchase. See the exact drop-off percentage at each step and identify your biggest optimization opportunities.
